Stark Lumber has outlasted most of the houses it helped frame — and the people running it today are the same ones who spent decades building it.
Bill Stark founded Stark Lumber on Pelham Rd. in St. Catharines in 1949, selling framing lumber to a region busy building itself. Within a few years the growing yard moved to Vansickle Rd. — where you'll still find us today, just over the railroad tracks.
Bill's sons, Eric and Alvin Stark, led the company for decades — growing the fleet, the yard and, above all, the truss shop that made Stark's name with builders across the Niagara Region.
The green on our trucks hasn't changed in forty years, and neither has the approach: quality material, honest advice and trusses built right the first time.
Today Stark Lumber is Canadian owned, and the legacy lives on through the people who helped build the business.
